Supplies

  • Basic white paper plate
  • Red and pink acrylic paint, Red for Santa’s hat and pink for his face.
  • Cotton balls, about 6-8 per Santa.
  • Googly eyes, any size you prefer
  • Pink construction paper, for Santa’s nose
  • White construction paper, for Santa’s mustache
  • Black marker
  • School glue or hot glue, adult supervision advised if using hot glue
  • Scissors
  • Craft paintbrush

Instructions

Paint Santa’s Face:

  • Use light pink acrylic paint to paint the inner circle of the paper plate for Santa’s face.
  • Let it dry for about 5-10 minutes.

Paint Santa’s Hat:

  • Once the pink paint is dry, use red acrylic paint to paint the upper portion of the plate to create Santa’s hat.
  • Allow it to dry completely.

Add Cotton Balls for the Hat Trim:

  • Glue cotton balls along the bottom edge of the red hat to create a fluffy trim.

Create Santa’s Nose and Mustache:

  • Cut a medium-sized oval from pink construction paper for Santa’s nose.
  • Fold white construction paper in half, draw half a mustache along the fold, and cut it out to create a symmetrical mustache.
  • Glue the nose and mustache in place.

Add Santa’s Eyes and Mouth:

  • Glue on the googly eyes above Santa’s nose.
  • Use a black marker to draw Santa’s smiling mouth just below the mustache.

Let It Dry:

  • Allow everything to dry completely before displaying.
