Ingredients

  • ½ - 1 cup eggnog, see notes
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, plus additional for serving
  • 2 sticks cinnamon
  • 2 cups hot coffee
  • eggnog whipped cream or store-bought whipped cream

Instructions

  • Add the eggnog, nutmeg, and cinnamon sticks to a saucepan over medium-low heat. Bring the eggnog to a simmer, but do not boil.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and take the cinnamon sticks out of the eggnog mixture.
  • Add the coffee to the eggnog and mix until combined.
  • Pour the eggnog coffee into two mugs or coffee cups.
  • Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • The amount of eggnog you want to use will vary depending on how creamy you like your coffee. For your coffee to look like the photos, add the full 1 cup of eggnog for an extra creamy coffee. If you like your coffee to be darker, start with just ½ cup of eggnog.
  • I like to combine my coffee with the eggnog mixture in the pot. However, you could add your hot coffee to your mugs and then top with the hot eggnog mixture instead! This way you can easily control how much eggnog gets added to each individual cup of coffee.
  • The nutrition calculation is just an estimation and will depend on how much eggnog you use in the coffee recipe. It also does not include the whipped cream topping as the calories and nutrition can vary widely depending on what you use.
